Regenerate or edit?

Edit when the variation is nearly right and one element is wrong. Regenerate when the angle itself is wrong. Editing is free and keeps this ad; regenerating costs a credit and gives you a different ad.

A caption line runs too long Edit Free
One claim needs softening Edit the script line Free
A clip repeats from another variation Swap the clip Free

Why the distinction matters

Editing a bad angle is the most expensive thing you can do, because it consumes the resource that actually limits your output, which is your attention. A credit costs about €1.52 on the Growth pack. Twenty minutes of an editor's time costs more than ten credits.

Frequently asked questions

Does editing a variation cost credits?

No. Editing, restyling and re-exporting are free. Only generating new output consumes credits.

Can I edit the script after generation?

Yes, and the voiceover is re-synthesised for the changed line rather than the whole ad.

Should I fix a weak hook by editing?

Usually not. A weak hook means the variation is the wrong ad, and a credit buys a genuinely different one.
