Use case

Turn long video into short ads

Upload the long recording and Genyad transcribes it, splits it into clips and indexes each one, after which ad variations are assembled from the moments worth using. A one hour webinar typically yields 10 to 25 usable clips and enough material for a month of testing.

How to do it in Genyad

  1. Upload the full recording. There is no need to pre-cut it.
  2. Let indexing transcribe and split it, then skim the clip list rather than the video.
  3. Tag the strong moments by role: a claim becomes a hook, a demonstration becomes product footage, a customer sentence becomes a testimonial.
  4. Brief a campaign around one argument the recording makes well.
  5. Generate a batch and export vertically. The source being 16:9 does not force the ad to be.

What good looks like

The extractable moments are more specific than most teams expect. Look for these, in this order.

MomentBecomesTypical length
A blunt claim or number Hook 1 to 3s
Someone showing rather than telling Product footage 2 to 5s
A customer sentence in their own words Testimonial 3 to 6s
A before and after contrast Body 4 to 8s
A direct instruction to act Call to action 2 to 4s

Mistakes that cost you the test

  • Clipping the best explanation. The clearest 30 second explanation in a webinar is usually a bad ad. Ads need a claim, not a lesson.
  • Keeping the original framing. A 16:9 talking head cropped to 9:16 puts a head in the middle of an empty frame. Let the export re-lay it.
  • Ignoring audio. A brilliant moment recorded on a laptop microphone will not survive a phone speaker in a noisy feed.
  • One ad per recording. The recording is a library, not a project.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn a webinar into ads automatically?

Upload it and Genyad transcribes, splits and indexes it, then assembles ad variations from the clips. You choose which moments matter by tagging them; the assembly is automatic.

How many ads can I get from an hour of footage?

Usually 10 to 25 usable clips, which is enough for a batch of 8 to 20 variations and more later as you re-brief.

Does it work on 16:9 landscape source?

Yes. Exports are laid out per placement, so a landscape source can produce a 9:16 ad without a head floating in an empty frame.

Can I use podcast audio with no video?

Audio alone is not enough for a video ad, but a podcast clip paired with product footage works, and a missing visual can be generated at 2 credits per second.
