Uploading footage
Upload video in MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WEBM, M4V, FLV or WMV. Anything that is not already H.264/AAC MP4 is transcoded on the way in, then each file is split into clips, transcribed with word-level timing, described by what is on screen, and indexed. Uploading and indexing do not consume credits.

What indexing does
- Transcodes the file to H.264/AAC MP4 if needed.
- Splits it into clips at scene boundaries.
- Transcribes speech with word-level timing, which later drives caption sync.
- Describes what is visible in each clip, so a script can request a shot in plain language.
- Stores resolution and duration, which decide caption sizing and export framing.
Preparing footage
- Upload everything, including rejected takes. Rejected footage is often the best B-roll.
- Audio quality matters more than image quality, because speech is what gets indexed and searched.
- There is no need to pre-trim long recordings. Splitting is automatic.
- Vertical footage is a bonus, not a requirement. Exports are laid out per placement.

No. Your library is scoped to your account and used to assemble your ads.
