AI voiceover for video ads
Genyad generates the voiceover for every ad variation in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Hindi. The voices are picked for advertising delivery rather than taken from a general catalogue, and synthesis returns word-level timings, which is what makes burned-in captions land on the right frame.

Languages and what changes with them
| Language | Script written natively | Voice selection |
|---|---|---|
| English | Yes | Commercial and promo reads |
| German | Yes | Commercial and promo reads |
| French | Yes | Commercial and promo reads |
| Spanish | Yes | Commercial and promo reads |
| Italian | Yes | Closest available professional reads |
| Hindi | Yes | Commercial and promo reads |
A localised variation is a new ad in that language, not a dubbed copy of the English one. The script is written in the target language, so the hook uses phrasing a native speaker would actually use.
Why voice choice is not cosmetic
Most large voice catalogues are built for customer support, audiobooks and meditation. Those reads are calm and evenly paced, which is exactly wrong over an ad, where the first second has to carry energy. Genyad's voice set was narrowed by reading every public voice description per language and keeping the ones built for commercials and promos.
One voice is held across all retries of a variation. Re-synthesising a script with a different voice each attempt would make the measured durations incomparable and the final export inconsistent with what was timed.
Timing, not just audio
- Word-level timestamps come back with the audio, so captions are synced per word rather than per line.
- The read is measured against the target duration before the video is assembled, and an overrunning script is rewritten rather than sped up.
- Music is mixed under the voice at a level that keeps speech intelligible on a phone speaker.
Frequently asked questions
Which languages does Genyad support for voiceover?
English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Hindi, with the script written natively in each rather than machine-translated from English.
Can I clone my own voice or a presenter's voice?
Not on the self-serve plans. Custom voice work is handled as part of an Enterprise setup.
Can I turn the voiceover off?
Yes. Ads can run on captions and music alone, which is what a large share of muted feed impressions need anyway.
Do captions match the voiceover exactly?
Yes. Captions are generated from the same word-level timing the synthesis returns, so they match the read rather than approximating it.
